A one-off project to build a campervan for a month-long dream trip around Europe has led to new local business, Cladach Campervans, creating bespoke van conversions that are rich in style and practical detail. Born from a spirit of adventure for the open road and waking up in stunning locations Paul Heraghty from Tullyconnell, Fanad, began building bespoke campervans when he lived in Glasgow. However, his route to founding his new business took many twists and turns before he set up his new fulltime workshop in his native Fanad. Now his detailed handiwork has created a series of stunning custom-designed camper vans that have travelled the highways and byways of Ireland, Europe and beyond for a number of happy customers. Growing up he went to school in Cashel NS and later Milford Tech. After working locally he moved to Scotland to work in tunnelling. From there he went on to found his own construction plant hire company in Glasgow for a number of years. However, things took quite a u-turn when he sold his business and decided to take on a personal project to get out and explore new horizons.
